Position Title:
Business Development Manager - Machinery Health
Vinson Process Controls Company,
L.P., a leading distributor of industrial process control equipment &
systems in the southwest region of the US, seeks a Business Development
Manager/Product Specialist responsible for sales and support of
machinery health products. The product line, which is from Emerson
Process Management’s Asset Optimization Division, includes vibration
analysis equipment, as well as other solutions for machinery condition
monitoring and predictive maintenance. The territory includes North,
East, and West Texas, Oklahoma, Western Arkansas, and New Mexico. This
position will be primarily responsible for marketing/promotion and sales
of on-line and portable vibration monitoring equipment in both
protective and predictive applications, but may also promote associated
products such as Emerson AMS Machinery Health software, oil analysis and
other technologies. Responsibilities also include achieving sales goals
based on increased revenue/gross margin and developing ongoing
relationships with accounts to identify opportunities to sell solutions.
Other responsibilities include account strategic planning, project
pursuit & monthly key activities reporting.

Description (Functions and Responsibilities)

Develop goals and execute
action plans based on customer goals/problems/needs, leading to
increased sales while maintaining gross margin.

Call on existing and
potential customers to develop and maintain customer/supplier
relationships.

Determine customer needs,
buying influences and cycles, budgets, and purchasing criteria by
engaging in active listening and investigative questioning
techniques.

Develop and present effective
solutions comprised of Vinson product & services deliverables in
response to customer needs.

Effectively coordinate with
Vinson internal customers, factory, and other representative
resources to maximize sales return on investment.

Document key activities for
project and initiative sales pursuits using on-line sales database.
Required Skills
-
A Bachelor or Associate Degree in recognized
related field with 3+ years experience in sales and/or service.

Knowledge of rotating machinery health
monitoring and diagnostics using vibration analysis, as well as
other condition monitoring and predictive diagnostic/predictive
maintenance products and services.

Willingness to travel. Due to the large
geography and training requirements, this job will require time away
from home.

Strong interpersonal, communication, and
listening skills in order to maximize business contacts and develop
working relationships with potential and current customers.

Good organizational and time management skills,
and the ability to work independently.

Basic PC skills and ability to utilize various
software applications (MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

Ability to access customer equipment in an
industrial plant environment.

Ability to comply with customer safety standards
including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (respirators,
goggles, hearing protection, etc.) when visiting customer
facilities.
