The Customer Service Representative serves as a pre-sales and post order resource to internal and external customers associated with the Systems and Services business.  This role will be responsible for commercial information and solutions, plus be able understand and convey technical information about our products and the customers’ applications.
 
  • Represent Vinson Process Controls to customers by providing technical and commercial information related to our products and services
  • Daily interface with customers via telephone, email, and in person for the proper selection of  equipment , development and submittal of quotations, follow-up with customers and processing of customer orders
  • Interface with factory personnel and vendors in areas of product delivery, accounting, order status, deals, agreements, returns, and other areas
  • Assist other Vinson departments (production, accounting, purchasing, warehouse) with their requirements involving orders
  • Support Sales/Engineering with appointed duties to assist in selling activities
  • Sales Order processing, generation, and administration
  • Handle paperwork as required for sales team to include faxes, quotes, orders, repairs,etc.
  • Review customer orders prior to order entry for pricing verification, product availability, order accuracy, tagging, addresses (shipping and billing), & quantities
  • Prioritize orders based on identified delivery requirements and complete order entry in a timely manner to meet customer deadlines and communicate any changes to appropriate sales person for further action
  • Monitor open order report and take actions to prevent late deliveries with keeping details current and effectively communicating with sales team, enclosure team or warehouse team
  • Completion of documentation requirements on all orders where applicable. This includes working with credit and documentation specialist to fill documentation requests by customers
  • General office duties as assigned

Education, Skills and/or Experience:
  • BA in Business Administration and/or relevant experience
  • Applicable technical and/or sales experience with engineered products in industrial markets
  • Computer software skills: Windows, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP System
  • Ability to multi-task, manage demanding workload, ownership of customer quotes/orders, adhere to deadlines
  • Basic knowledge of Supply Chain Management
  • Ability to communicate effectively with sales team, customers, and vendors
  • Work in team environment with an eagerness to work with others
 
Physical and Mental:
  • Ability to provide effective written and oral communications in English
  • Ability to operate office machinery (telephone, copier, fax, PC)
  • Ability to comprehend complex information, perform math calculations, logical reasoning, manage ambiguity
