Operations Supervisor, Electrical & Power Systems

Responsible for the resource scheduling, production scheduling, employee mentoring, and QA/QC processes associated with the enclosure fabrication shop.  These electrical enclosures are used in the control of processes ranging from small standalone, remote RTU’s or PLCs to large multi-enclosure DCS systems. This is a highly competitive business that requires tight control and management of costs and schedule to deliver a quality product that results in positive business results.
  • Understanding of low voltage AC/DC Circuits (<480V)
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings and electrical schematics
  • Ability to read and interpret functional scope documents
  • Responsible for day-to-day management of Enclosure shop personnel
  • Responsible for financial results of the Enclosure Business that includes:
    • Sourcing of non-inventory materials (benchstock)
    • Scheduling and meeting delivery deadlines
    • Innovation and process improvements
    • Defining work practices
  • Maintain UL 508A certification and audit records
  • Adhere to Quality Assurance standards and processes
  • Maintain a safe work environment
Track and report pertinent KPIs such as defects, allocated vs actual times

Education, Skills and/or Experience:

·         Bachelor’s Degree or Associates Degree with equivalent work experience in this field

·         Previous supervisory/management skills preferred

·         High level of PC and software skills, including use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, AutoCAD

Physical and Mental:

·         Must be a highly motivated, self-starter that can be effective in a light manufacturing environment

·         Must have the ability to meet deadlines yet be flexible as deadlines change

·         Must have good communications skills both face to face and over the phone in a corporate and engineering environment

·         Requires extended time standing, climbing stairs, and lifting up to 40 pounds throughout the day
