Vinson is a leading distributor of industrial process control, pressure protection, control systems, and services in the southwest region of the US including North, East, West Texas, Oklahoma, Western Arkansas, and New Mexico. 
This position is for the role of a Service Coordinator, based in Vinson’s Odessa office, who will be responsible for ensuring the highest degree of internal and external customer service. This position will be in direct contact with customers and will be responsible for quoting, coordinating, and managing the administrative requirements pertaining to mechanical repairs.  This position will also be responsible for becoming the backup to counter sales on an as-needed basis.  The successful candidate will be expected to drive a culture that supports our Core Value, as summarized below.

  • Represent Vinson Process Controls in a professional and courteous manner
  • Quote, coordinate and assist with scheduling of repairs
  • Ensure targeted sales margins are met
  • Understand tools and processes available to resolve internal and external issues
  • Office support for Technicians (quoting, parts research, etc.) and sales and leadership.
  • Manage orders in an organized manner ensuring the rapid flow of repairs.
  • Follow all order and repair management procedures.
  • Research required parts list for repair quotes
  • Request quotes and orders from vendors as needed
  • Develop accurate Invoices
  • Compile all documentation required to accompany invoicing 
  • File all paper documentation of orders.
  • Backup counter sales as needed
  • Work Overtime, including weekends, if needed
  • Travel as needed for training, meetings, or additional support
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Multi-task/Manage all of the above duties while maintaining a positive “Think Customer” Attitude

Education, Skills, and/or Experience:
  • Basic knowledge of Supply Chain Management and Accounting
  • Positive attitude at all times and a willingness to learn
  • Self-motivated and able to thrive without direction from supervisor
  • Ability to succeed in high-pressure situations without showing signs of frustration.
  • Good organizational skills and willingness to complete required paperwork
  • Experience in customer service or inside sales
  • Excellent Communication and People skills
  • Experience with Order Management software, SAP is a plus
  • Competency with computers, proficiency in MS Excel and MS Dynamics CRM are a plus
 
Physical and Mental:
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally, and in writing, in English
  • Work in a team environment with an eagerness to work with others
  • Ability to operate office machinery (telephone, copier, fax, PC)
  • Ability & willingness to wear Personal Protective Equipment as required to perform duties safely or as directed.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. as needed.
  • Ability to bend or stoop as needed.
  • Ability to work in warehouse environment as needed.
