PROJECT ENGINEERING & EXECUTION PROJECT ENGINEERING & EXECUTION
Starting with Front-End Engineering Design (FEED), we provide a feasibility study and conceptual business planning for project justification. Our team can work with you to provide a solution that includes FEED, electrical and instrumentation engineering, equipment selection, system configuration and testing, commissioning services, implementation and operational capabilities. Vinson utilizes the Integrated Process Analysis (IPA) Model for managing projects, but often conforms to our customers' processes, which tend to be very similar to the IPA Model.
Turnkey Projects and Main Automation Contracts (MAC)

Turnkey Projects and Main Automation Contracts (MAC)

Vinson, working in conjunction with Emerson Automation Solutions, can provide turnkey projects and/or assume full responsibility for the automation on a project via the MAC concept. Our expertise in brownfield modernization projects provide automation system life plan strategies, project execution services, project management and subcontracted services. While economic justification can be difficult to define in terms of tangible ROIs, especially when considering the potential impact to production/operations during transition, we have successfully delivered ROI and/or mitigated cost impact, such as the ability to perform hot cutovers during the "go live" phase of the system transition. For greenfield projects, hiring Emerson/Vinson as your Main Automation Contractor ensures that you are hiring the best qualified personnel for the Emerson system platforms that can deliver Project Certainty-first quartile cost and schedule achievement.
System Configuration and E&I Engineering

System Configuration and E&I Engineering

Our project systems engineering staff offers core competency in the following functional areas: DeltaV System Automation configuration, network/protocol integration, and E&I engineering. Emerson certifies our facility and individuals to ensure that we are proficient in performing the key deployment services for Emerson's systems. One of our key strategies is to leverage standard designs and configurations that reduce project costs and project risks (such as schedule or scope creep). We measure our project success in terms of the repeat customers that hire us for their automation project needs.
Lifecycle Continuity

Lifecycle Continuity

When Vinson is selected to provide services on a project, our customers receive the additional benefit of lifecycle continuity. This strategy embeds at least one local Lifecycle Services person as part of the project team to ensure that when the project is over and the project teams leave the site, at least one certified services provider from Vinson "never leaves the site" with a good working knowledge of the system delivered. This service provider is available to provide small day-to-day configuration support, upgrades, troubleshooting, and other system management activities.
