Education, Skills and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree from accredited university.
- Minimum 3-5 years of technical sales experience in industrial product lines, preferably within the target industries.
- Experience in consultative technical selling and conducting presentations to diverse stakeholders.
- Self-motivated and able to thrive without daily direction from the supervisor.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and CRM software
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain customer relationships.
- Have an entrepreneurial approach and understanding of business strategies including sales focused processes.
- Ability to recognize and capitalize on potential business opportunities (Opportunistic)
- Communicate well internally and externally with a high level of customer service.
- Demonstrate resourcefulness and the ability to be a problem solver, with the preparedness and aptitude to figure out things on the fly.
- Ability to take initiative and make independent judgements in high pressure situations.
- Clear background check, valid driver's license, and clean driving record with willingness to travel extensively within the assigned territory.
Physical and Mental:
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in English.
- Must be able to work inside or outside in environmental conditions which at times include extreme heat or cold temperatures.
- Ability to stand/walk for an entire workday.
- Ability to climb multiple ladders and stairways throughout a workday.
- Not have a fear of heights
- Ability to travel via air and/or ground transportation as needed.
- Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment without restriction which may include but not limited to hardhat, safety glasses, fire resistant clothing, safety-toed footwear, hearing protection, respiratory protection, etc. if requested by customer or required by safety policies.
- Must be able to hear and distinguish emergency and other alarms and respond according to prescribed procedures.
